What's the capacity of the Ovalware Pour Over Maker?
500ml (17oz) — enough for 2 standard servings. The set includes a borosilicate glass carafe, stainless steel filter, and lid. No paper filters needed.
What grind size works best for pour over?
Medium-fine. Too coarse and the coffee tastes weak; too fine and the filter clogs. A good rule: if the brew drains in under 2 minutes, go finer. Over 4 minutes, go coarser. Adjust by 1 notch at a time.
What coffee works best in a pour over?
Light to medium roast, freshly ground. Single-origin beans shine in pour over — the method highlights bright, nuanced flavors that dark roasts tend to mask. Grind right before brewing for the best cup.
Is the Pour Over Maker easy to clean?
Yes. The stainless steel filter rinses clean — most grounds shake out easily. Use a soft bottle brush for the carafe's narrow neck. Both pieces are dishwasher safe.
Is the Pour Over Maker beginner-friendly?
Yes. Basic technique: bloom the grounds with a small pour of hot water, wait 30 seconds, then pour in slow circles. The Ovalware filter's open basket design is forgiving — no precision required to get a great cup.
